Applications for Support

Yorkshire Children's Trust have been founded to help support long term sick and disabled children in the Yorkshire region. The charity will consider support for not just the child, but their siblings and parents too.

We support children in Yorkshire who suffer from any long term life-limiting illness or disability with essential emotional and financial support.

Types of Financial Support

We offer small grants from £50 up to a maximum of £750 to cover medical equipment or treatment or essential home modifications. This can either pay for items in full or be a part award to items costing more.

We now accept applications to help cover hospital travel costs for a child who is going to be in hospital for at least 8 days, this is a one off payment of £100.

Types of Emotional Support

We are pleased to offer both weekend breaks and mid-week breaks at our own three bedroom caravan at Withernsea Sands. This caravan is double glazed and centrally heated and is suitable for holidays no matter the season.

We are also very excited to have recently extended our services to include family counselling. For more on this service click here.

Who can make applications?

We accept applications from parents, legal guardians, doctors, nurses, support workers and social workers.

What children do you support?

We support children who (must) reside in the Yorkshire region who suffer from any long term life-limiting illness or disability.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications from other parts of the country or from overseas at this time.

How long do applications take to support?

We process applications as quickly as possible but we are reliant on information from schools and medical professionals to process them. We expect applications to take approximately 2 months to process. We ask applicants to be patient during this time.
