Long March Challenge 2020 - Calderdale Sponsored Night Hike!
Welcome to Calderdale's original sponsored night hike!
Take on the hills, battle the weather and conquer the tarmac to raise some money for one of Calderdale's most deserving causes!
You will follow a secret 26 mile route around Calderdale, guided only by our friendly marshals. We provide refreshments, first aid and motivation along the way but completing the route is ultimately down to how much you want it. Your hard work will be rewarded though, because every penny you raise goes directly to the charity you are walking for!

Terms and Conditions
The event is set up and managed by the Calderdale Long March Committee and provides walking places to supporters of Yorkshire Children's Trust for a one off registration fee of £20 upfront or £30 on the night of the event. Discounts are available for teams. Payment for registration will be collected via PayPal.
To register you must complete the online registration form prior to the event, details of what details are collected and how the data is used can be found on the Long March website, longmarch.org.uk/privacy.html
Refunds of registration fees are subject to meeting the cancellation procedure with Long March direct. Details of their refund policy can be found on their website. At no time will Yorkshire Children's Trust be responsible for the payment or refund of registration fees.
If you cancel or decide not to go ahead with the Long March you must refund any sponsorship money you have collected if at all possible. If for any reason this is not possible, the money must be handed over to Yorkshire Children's Trust within 7 days of cancellation.
It is expected that you will set up a JustGiving fundraising page for the collection of sponsorship money for the Long March event, this can be done directly via this website or by clicking here.
Justgiving is the market leading fundraising platform and will allow supporters to make direct payment to your event page by credit or debit card, direct debit or text message service. Supporters can also directly add GiftAid at no extra cost if they're a UK tax payer. All Sponsorship is directly transferred to the charity.
If for any reason you require a paper sponsorship form, this can be provided, however all funds should be collected and handed over to the charity within 30 days of completion of the Long March event.
The minimum age of participation is 14 years old, walkers under 18 years old will need their parents permission to take part and are still subject to the registration fee which covers the cost of the event.
Although First Aid is provided by the Long March committee for the event, walkers participate at their own risk, by signing up they acknowledge that they're in overall good health and they will not hold the Long March committee or Yorkshire Children's Trust responsible for any accident or injury however caused.
